Hubcaps 50s Diner of Schiller Park Cruise Night – May 2014

The first cruise night of 2014 was a hit with the attendees.  The threat of rain and the hot humid conditions kept some of the cars away, but those that braved the elements enjoyed the fun times, the trivia questions, the music and the trophies.  Top three cruisers drove away with cool trophies.  The rest will return next time for another chance to win (those who won this time, are not eligible to win again until next month.)  This time we event had a special appearance by Rod Stewart (okay not the real Rod, but a pretty good impersonator!!)  Hope to see Rod at a future event.

Weekly cruise night updates for October 8th, 2012

With the cooler weather upon us and the leaves falling, a lot of cruisers have put their cars away for the season.  We’re on a week to week basis with out cruise nights for the remainder of the year.

Tuesdays our Lake Zurich cruise night is coming to a close. This week weather.com is forecasting a 50+% chance of rain so the cruise night may be cancelled.  This should be our last cruise night of the season.

Wednesdays cruise night at Frato’s Pizza of Schaumburg (corner of Roselle and Weathersfield) will go on conditional on the weather.  We’ll see everyone on Wednesday as long as the weather cooperates.

Thursdays cruise night at Hubcaps of Schiller Park is done for the season.  We look forward to seeing everyone next year starting in May 2013.

Saturdays cruise night at Culver’s of Palatine is also done for the season.

It’s been a great year and we look forward to the Frato’s cruise nights for a few more weeks. After that, we’ll schedule some “indoor” gatherings over winter and see everyone next year.  If you’re interested in participating in the once-a-month indoor gathering, e-mail us and we’ll be sure to notify you as the events are planned.

Hubcaps of Schiller Park cruise night on Sept 20, 2012

NOT cold, but COOL last week at Hubcaps of Schiller Park’s weekly cruise night.  A few of the regulars and some new cruisers came out to check out the cars and share some good times and great food with their friends and fellow car lovers.

With temps in the 50s, and a wind from the west, the cars were running STRONG and loving the cooler weathers, but the drivers were a bit too cold and most went into Hubcaps for their roast beef sandwiches with soup, fries and cole slaw for under $7.  It was a huge meal and left you warm and cozy inside.

Thanks to everyone who attended Hubcaps of Schiller Park’s cruise night.  We’re on a week to week basis now with the cruise nights, depending on the weather and temperatures.  Next week will be the LAST OFFICIAL cruise night at Hubcaps of Schiller Park for the 2012 calendar year.  After that we’re moving the cruise night indoors over the winter months.
