Fratos Pizza of Schaumburg Cruise Night on Sept 19, 2012

It was cool last night, but that didn’t keep some new cars and their drivers from visiting the Fratos Pizza cruise night.  The wind was blowing a bit, but the cars were loving the cooler weather. We EVEN had one convertible come in, with it’s top DOWN.  Now that’s a devoted cruiser.

The temps were in the 60s and the sun kept us warm.  The cruise night gathered a dozen or so cars and it was a fun night with two modern GTOs parked side-by-side and sharing stories and comparing motor modifications. Other cars in attendance were an air-cooled VW Karmann Ghia, a very well cared for 70s Bentley and a few Mustangs from the Chicagoland Mustang Club.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night.  We’re on a week to week basis now with the cruise nights, depending on the weather and temperatures.  Next week will be the last official Fratos Pizza of Schaumburg cruise night for the 2012 calendar year, after that it’ll be week to week until it gets too cold.

Schiller Park Hubcaps Cruise Night and Car show on Sept 6th and 9th

Over 150 cars, ALL makes and models, ALL years and ALL conditions (most in showroom or better condition) and three cars with “for sale” signs.  The Schiller Park Family Day and Vintage Car show was a huge success.  Over a hundred cars and hundreds and hundreds of residents enjoying the rides, the food and the classic cars on display.  All the rides were “FREE,” all the food was $3 or less and the weather couldn’t have been better.

Thanks to EVERYONE who came out and participated in the show, BUT a special THANK YOU to the great Schiller Park staff and employees who put on and worked the show.  The show wouldn’t of been possible without your great hard work and dedication to putting on a great show.  It was Schiller Park’s 4th annual event and every year it was better than the previous year.  We’re looking forward to next year’s event.

For those who enjoyed this car show, this Thursday, just like every Thursday in September, Hubcaps will be hosting their cruise night from 6 pm till 9 pm.  The cruise night is FREE and Hubcaps even offers food discounts for the cruisers and spectators.

Lake Zurich Classic Cruise Night on September 4th, 2012

Last night we had another great cruise night in Lake Zurich with cars from a Model T pickup/truck to a newer Camaro and Corvette in attendance. With school starting, the cruise nights have dropped down a bit, but we’re still going strong.  Music was fun, food was good and the cars were plentiful with a wide variety of cars.  Thank you to everyone who came out for the cruise night.
